“WHO WE REALLY ARE”
(These notes are taken by the hand of a student seeking to know more of the LORD JESUS and HIS KINGDOM)

1 Corinthians 2: 2  For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

All any of us need is to know JESUS CHRIST.  We need to have our ear cupped to hear the LORD, “I’m listening LORD!  Speak to me, LORD!  I’ll go for you.  I’ll be for you.  I’ll do for you.”

The real deal is JESUS.  Nothing else matters.  I can’t do anything without HIM. We always need to do our best where ever we are.  But while we’re doing our best make it about JESUS!  HE’s all that matters.  I’ve determined its all going to be about JESUS!

VS 3-5    And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

To rely on the power of the HOLY SPIRIT is to forget about yourself and your own wants and desires.  It’s to really dig in and know the LORD and have HIM lead you in all things.    It’s not by the power of any human being but by the SPIRIT of GOD that we can do anything.  It’s not in human wisdom.

Philippians 4:4-7  Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

We are to rejoice in the LORD always.  Be gentle, don’t worry, pray with thanksgiving in your heart.  You can make specific requests.   GOD will give you peace to guard your heart and your mind.  It’s like a filter to keep you in tune with GOD instead of being in tune with the world.

Philippians 4: 8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Guard your heart.  How do we guard our heart?
Keep your heart and mind true, noble, just, pure, and lovely.  Have a good report.  Think on these things for your peace from GOD.

Don’t forget the wisdom from  Proverbs 24:  1 Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.  2 For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.  And Proverbs 4:23  Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life...

Guard your heart.
Who are we?  We have the GOD of PEACE when we walk in HIS way and HEAR HIS voice and do HIS will.   Phillipians 4: 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

·A thought leads to action, whether it be good or bad.
·An action leads to a habit.
·A habit leads to character.
·Character leads to destiny.

There is hope if we have fallen by the way.  There is hope if we are in need of the saving grace of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.  Repent and turn form your sins so the refreshing may come.   Acts 3: 19  Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
